On A Rainy May Day

I'm closing in on another year.  What words of wisdom I tell myself after the year I've  had?  Nothing so eloquent as what I wrote for my Life, Community, and Faith class.  Forgive me, I don't remember what the assignment was, but I decide to give a lot of advice.

Speak the truth,
But be gentle.
You never know what buttons a word or tone may push.
Stand up for the little guy.
Stand for yourself.
Love everybody
Even though they will most likely hurt you,
Leave you,
Or betray you.
Because you never who may surprise you
Or who may be most in need
Of love.
Family keeps you ground.
Friends are your lifeline.
Stealing or cheating - not something I do.
You really only cheat yourself
And if I fund out that someone stole from me or cheated me,
I'd be
Heartbroken
And Disappointed.
Life is better with company
And is certainly worth living.
God is a part of my life,
The capacity changes day-to-day
But he is looking out for me.
Jesus is my Savior
And my Redeemer.
Work hard
And play hard,
And give your best every day.
Say I love you
