I guess it is finally time to update you on my life. I do apologize because there is so much.
I was finally made full time staff this May. I'm so very excited. It has made me feel so grown up and in charge of my life.
My two baby cousins graduated from college. Topaz from Longwood and MeShel from Virginia Commonwealth. It is amazing feeling when someone who you've held when they were days old accomplishes great things. Even more humbling when they talk about how you've been a role model for them. I could not have been as focused without their down-to-earth sensibilities. Those are my sisters.
Job has been great. We have so many things in the pipeline and in production. Main Street Mysteries is going on a second season for Investigation Discovery. Nat Geo is getting The World's Fastest Rollercoaster on the Ferrari coaster in Abu Dhabi (i wanna go on that shoot), three Survival 360 episodes, and an episode for their Break It Down series entitled "Phantom F4" which chronicles the deconstruction of a supersonic Vietnam Jet. Discovery still has Attack of the Giant Jellyfish in production. Animal Planet greenlit a pilot for Occult Detectives, and Discovery greenlit a pilot episode of Swamp Brothers series which will air in February. If it does well, we'll get a seeeeeriiiiiiees! Plus we have series in front of MTV, SyFy, and A&E. Let's go; let's go!!
With all the excitement going on, my social life seems uneventful. Jen and I are moving out of the Washington Blvd house to a Balston Tower in July. I can't wait. Along with that I will most likely be joining the Orange Iguanas for the next kickball season.
BTW definitely trying to move on. Go towards a next phase in my life. As Joey told me recently, how can you continue to try and make something work when your partner in crime concedes defeat and gives up without you. So ::brushes off hands:: that's that.
On the brighter note, I got to hang out with my guys this weekend. A night of laughs, beirut, and hottub time on Friday. Got to check in with Alex and Liz. Scared Ben's girl with all our out-of-the-box talk. And catching up with my dear dear Lee. Boy had i missed our talks. It always seems like another world when i'm there. Another life. But these are the ones who know me best. Who've known me forever. Being there is like a refresher; i get to feel normal and recharge from the down-ers of my life. And Beer Festival with Chris, Ry, and Nate was fantastic. And I got to meet some great new friends. Thank you guys for making my life wonderful
